Net Surfing Is Not Aerobic!
Activities that
are not aerobic:
- Net surfing (too bad!)
- Jumping from one hyperlink to another.
Dreaming
about doing aerobics.
- Sitting on the couch and watching an aerobic video.
- Eating with gusto.
- Searching for lost computer files.
- Jumping to conclusions.
- Running up large bills.
- Jogging your memory.
- Watching your favorite sport.
- Beating around the bush.
- Jumping the gun.
- Breaking the ice.
- Changing your mind.

- Footing the bill.
- Getting on the bandwagon.
- Hanging around.
- Holding your tongue.
- Playing with fire.
- Popping the question.
- Pulling someone's leg.
- Putting your foot down.
- Skating on thin ice.
- Splitting hairs.
- Stretching a point.
- Turning over a new leaf.
- Wrapping up a deal.
- Cracking a joke.
- Dashing off a quick note.
- Running out of gas.
- Scrolling through documents.

If you thought the above were aerobic activities, you are
probably using some of the excuses listed below. Come on...'fess up!
Excuses not to
exercise:
- I'm not in shape.
Now, how do you expect to get in shape? Start small and work at your own pace.
But, do it.
- I can't decide on which
program to start--there are so many programs available. Having
many options is good! You can try a few activities until you find one you like and
will stick with.
- I'm too old.
Not true! You are never too old to start moving. Come on...you have to start
somewhere!
- I have two left feet.
No problem. You're not being graded! We all have two left feet when learning
something new. Just try. You'll get it!
- I don't have time.
Do you have time to be sick? (I didn't think so.) Make time for exercise and
you'll increase your fitness and minimize illness. Wouldn't you rather do something
fun that will maintain your health and give you more energy rather than procrastinate and
struggle to regain your health?
- It's too expensive.
You can jog or walk for free. You don't need an expensive membership at an exclusive
gym. Jacki's classes are reasonably priced.
- Exercise is boring.
If this is your attitude, you haven't yet found the program that's right for you.
Find a program you like and stick with it. Choose one you can do in any kind of
weather. Of course, Jacki's programs are creative, imaginative and challenging, and never

- I don't know
how--everyone else in class will be so much better. You have to

- I'm healthy. I
don't need to exercise. Studies show that you need to work out
